Sam Locke is an actor recognised as one to watch, already gaining attention for the range and depth of his screen performances. Drawing on his working-class roots, Sam brings authenticity and drive to his work, with a focus on grounded, character-led storytelling.
He is best known for his role as Jimmy Fox in the BAFTA-nominated film 28 Years Later, directed by Danny Boyle, and for reprising the role in its sequel, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, written by Alex Garland and directed by Nia DaCosta for Sony Pictures. His growing screen career also includes work with BBC, S4C and Sky, spanning a variety of genres and demonstrating a strong versatility on screen. Alongside acting, Sam continues to develop original material and has experience working as a director, producer and writer on independent passion projects.
Born in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, Sam discovered his passion for acting at a young age. He trained in theatre and performing arts at UAL at Merthyr College before graduating from De Montfort University in 2023. While his professional credits to date focus on television and film, his training has also established him as a confident and capable live performer.
Outside of his work, Sam is a lifelong Liverpool FC supporter and has a strong interest in EDM and drum and bass music, as well as contemporary streetwear culture.
